No other (public) university student union in BC allows its Council to seal records at the policy level. If this change goes through as currently drafted, the AMS could become the least open university student society in BC.

Two weeks ago, no one knew a Phase 3 of Sauder renovations existed. Construction will be starting in April. While it’s going forward, it has significantly eroded the Board’s trust in Dan Muzyka. But it’s commerce students who should feel most betrayed. They were swindled out of millions.
This will not come as a shock to anyone, but UBC is planning to raise tuition this year.
These candidates are also the ones that we feel will serve the student population most faithfully and truly listen when students raise concerns.
Citing “culture and religion”, a number of residents of Promontory (2688 West Mall) are complaining about the proposed location of St. John Hospice. “Eighty percent of the resident in Promotory are Asian,”(sic) said Janet Fan, resident and organizer of the opposition to the site via email, “having dying people in our backyard is against our culture and religion.”
