This week Moira Warburton, news editor of The Ubyssey and Tanner Bokor, former AMS executive and briefly of the VFM/quasi-terrorist cell known as AMS Vanguard join us to talk news. We also had some AMS elections chatter, but due to some chaos in Maayan’s life, we kinda missed the boat on that. Perhaps a roundup next week is in order.

For our feature interview, we welcome Ingrid Parent, the University Librarian, to talk about the challenges and opportunities that the library has in the face of changing technology, as well as the challenge of juggling leadership responsibilities both at home and abroad. She also definitively answers the question of whether talking is allowed in the Chapman Learning Commons.

• Two new Governors, Beverlee Park and Michael Korenberg were appointed to the UBC Board on Febuary 25 ^[4]. You can see the official release from the Board about them too.
• Two faculty association has been busy. A survey of their members found thatover 70% of members have no confidence in the Presidential Search ^[5] and think that Greg Peet and Lindsay Gordon should resign from the committee. They have also accepted a petition from their members to hold a no-confidence vote in the Board itself. A meeting is planned for March 22, with an online vote to follow. The Board has also written back to the FA, with the usual platitudes. ^[6]
• The Ubyssey has deep coverage of all aspects of AMS Elections ^[7].
• A small assortment of unethical, anonymous Voter Funded Media blogs covering the AMS elections have appeared and disappeared too rapidly to reliably link to.
• AMS elections results ^[8] are out by now.
• The UBC Library underwent an external review in 2014. ^[9] The library administration wrote a response to that review in March 2015. ^[10]
